1. Aqua Spa Body Creme in Lavender & Chamomile
Such a lovely smelling body creme! Lavender is by and far one of my favorite scents – super relaxing! As a creme, this product has a thicker consistency than a typical lotion but has a more liquid consistency than a body butter. I like to use the creme before bed for extra moisture and for the added aromatherapy benefit.
2. Profoot Triad Orthotic Shoe Inserts & Pedi Rock
The Profoot products are my favorite part of the box. Currently I’m doing the Turbofire workout tapes which utilize HIIT training (High Intensity Interval Training) that requires a lot of jumping and squats and plenty of high impact activities that leave joints feeling sore. I’ve noticed a huge difference, particularly in my knees, since using these shoe inserts during my workouts. Instead of securing them into my workout shoes, I’ll sometimes snag the inserts to use for added comfort when wearing my Converse sneaks which have no arch support. I definitely recommend the orthotic shoe inserts to anyone who may experience knee pain after workouts or if you have a job that requires you to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
I’ve also fallen in love with the Pedi Rock. I’ve used plastic/metal foot scrubbers from CVS before receiving the Pedi Rock but they typically hurt my feet in the sensitive skin areas around rough patches. The Pedi Rock is great because the material actually moulds to your foot and the rock itself is sort of squishy making it easy to grip and hold onto, and the material is much more gentle than any scrubber I’ve had before.
3. Playtex Sport Fresh Balance
Unfortunately, I wish I could say I enjoyed this sample! I’ve shifted from using Playtex products to using Kotex products, primarily because of comfort but also because Kotex has made a valiant effort to re-brand into the 21st century which I appreciate. The particular box that I sampled is of scented tampons and in general, I don’t like the idea of putting something into a sensitive area of my body that has been dipped in chemicals. The way that the tampon is shaped may give 360 degree coverage, but I find them uncomfortable. I will pass on these.
4. Vitamin Shoppe Next Step Fit n Full Meal Replacement/Protein Shakes
I’m always looking for a way to get added protein after a good workout and I’m glad to have received these. Currently I use Shakeology in chocolate – which I still love – but I didn’t enjoy other Shakeology flavors. The mixed berries and the french vanilla Vitamin Shoppe Next Step shakes were the tastiest protein shakes I’ve had. Just make sure to shake REALLY well to avoid swallowing chunks of powder.
5. Blue Diamond Blueberry Almonds
Let me preface this by saying that I do not like nuts of any kind and I actually really enjoyed these. When I first saw “blueberry almonds” I grimaced but it is really just a hint of blueberry that adds an extra sweet element to the nut that I really enjoyed. A neat treat if you’re looking for some healthy alternatives to your typical afternoon snack sesh!
