Shop C+I during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to Benefit the Young Survival Coalition

arm_party2Unfortunately breast cancer is a harsh reality that affects nearly every one of us at some point in life. Most of us have a mom, an aunt, a sister, a cousin, or a friend who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. While most women are diagnosed later in life, I was totally shocked to find that there are no effective breast cancer screening tools for women under 40 and furthermore, the treatment for those diagnosed under 40 is more aggressive and comes with a lower survival rate. Sort of counter intuitive, right? Some of you might be thinkingΒ yeah, but could there really be THAT many people under 50 with breast cancer? I thought it developed with age? The Young Survival Coalition website states that there are nearly 70,000 cases each year of men and women ages 15-39 who are diagnosed with breast cancer, and these are only the cases that have been diagnosed!

This is why I’m so super proud that in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, by shopping the Positively Pink collection in my Chloe + Isabel boutique, all net profits will be donated to the Young Survival Coalition. If you’re going to shop, it may as well be for a fantastic cause! The Young Survival Coalition is an organization dedicated to helping women who are diagnosed with breast cancer under the age of 40. Currently, they’re running a really great campaign with Katy Perry in an attempt to raise awareness.
